G-Research March grant winner

Each month, we provide up to £2,000 in grant money to early career researchers in quantitative disciplines.

Our aim is to support and assist PhD students and postdocs conducting research, particularly with costs that may be difficult to get funding for elsewhere, for example, travel for those who are caring for children, or expenses for volunteer work related to research.

“I am an applied machine learning PhD student researching applications of deep learning techniques for physics-based modelling of fluid mechanics and combustion.

“Earlier this year I officially launched Graphaite, an open-source AI research start-up, with the goal of researching and implementing graph neural network solutions to difficult real-world problems.

“This grant from G-Research will go towards the purchase of a workstation and cloud computing credits, empowering the Graphaite team with the necessary resources to succeed in their mission.”

Congratulations to our grant winners.
