G-Research PhD Prize in Maths and Data Science 2022
We are proud to announce that G-Research will once again be hosting its annual PhD Prize in Maths and Data Science. We will be giving away an academic prize of up to £10,000 to the best PhD draft dissertation entered into the competition.
Who can apply?
Cambridge University students in their ultimate or penultimate PhD years and University of Oxford students in their ultimate or penultimate DPhil years, working across areas including but not limited to the following specialisms should apply:
- Quantitative Finance
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Statistics
- Physics
- Engineering
- Machine Learning
When are applications open?
Applications will open on the 18th of October 2021 and will close on the 31st of January 2022.
How to apply
To apply, please send the following items to sophie.allisett@gresearch.com:
- An electronic chapter or excerpt from your draft dissertation
- Your CV
- A cover letter outlining a summary of the submitted thesis, your contribution (if submitting a joint piece of work), and how this work can be applied within its broader research context and/or finance
Comparable pieces of work, or recently published papers will also be accepted. The maximum entry length is 50 pages.
