The Role
G-Research is seeking an Associate HR Business Partner to join our new Engineering and Infrastructure Hub in Dallas.
You will be a trusted advisor on HR matters at a managerial level within the organization, with a specific focus on our Engineering Function. Working closely with managers, you will help to build their capability and confidence in managing people and team matters.
You will provide effective advice and support to managers and employees in the application of HR policies and procedures alongside your HR colleagues, including on employee relations matters, such as performance and disciplinary in line with local employment law, absence management and off-boarding processes.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Supporting senior HR Business Partners on annual activities such as compensation review and performance
Collaborating with the G-Research HR team to deliver initiatives and projects with broader organizational reach
Working with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to ensure all employee and organizational changes are recorded correctly, such as updates to Workday, and aligned with the headcount plan
Supporting operational elements of change efforts, such as re-organizations, with a high degree of data accuracy and attention to detail
Partnering effectively with HR Operations on HR administration
Supporting the on-boarding experience and continued employee experience and engagement for the Dallas team
Supporting talent development and training events where in-person coordination is required
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who brings a positive mind set, thrives on solving complex problems and is able to adapt quickly to an ever-evolving area of the business.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrable experience within HR, with excellent working knowledge across HR disciplines, including employee relations
Ability to work independently and confidently with HR expertise
Evidence-based approach to problem-solving; a thoughtful approach that demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making skills
Proven experience building strong business partnerships and fostering relationships with employees and other stakeholders
A client-support orientation and mind-set, with the ability to work effectively at the management level
Experience coaching and advising managers on HR matters
Commercial awareness and business acumen
Intellectual curiosity
Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
