G-Research has officially signed an agreement with the University of Oxford to fully-fund nine PhD scholars over the next three years, as part of our NextGen initiative.

The signing marks a major milestone in our mission to support the next generation of researchers advancing mathematics, machine learning and data science.

Hosted at Oxford’s Mathematical Institute, the event brought together our Head of Research, senior academics and the first of nine scholars from the University of Oxford.

The occasion highlights our shared commitment to supporting exceptional early-career researchers in machine learning, data science and related fields.

G-Research NextGen scholarships

This scholarship is one of 42 fully-funded PhD awards we are supporting over the next three years at leading institutions across the UK. Each scholar is selected for their academic excellence and potential to advance research with real scientific impact.

The Oxford ceremony is an early milestone in the broader G-Research NextGen initiative — our long-term commitment to growing and empowering the next generation of research talent.

I’m extremely grateful for this funding, which means I can focus entirely on my research without the stress of financial constraints.

Coming soon: Meet the scholars

We are launching a profile series introducing each NextGen PhD scholar. Through short video stories and interviews, the series will showcase their research, motivations and the ideas shaping the future of quantitative and machine-learning science.

As the programme expands, G-Research will continue working with academic partners to create opportunities for outstanding researchers and strengthen the pipeline of future scientific leaders.
