HR Placement Year (Sandwich Degree)

Location: London (On-site)
Placement dates: 13th July 2026 – 16th July 2027
Working hours: 09:00–17:30

We are offering a 12-month placement opportunity for students currently enrolled on a sandwich degree programme to join our People team and gain first-hand experience in one of the most dynamic HR environments in the industry.

There are multiple roles available across our People function, including fixed and rotational opportunities in the following areas:

1. People Operations

2. Talent Acquisition

3. Campus and Reward (rotational)

4. Marketing and Organisational Development (rotational)

This placement provides a structured path to develop your knowledge of HR operations, talent strategy, reward and marketing communications, all while supporting the systems and people that power a high-performance technology organisation.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for students who demonstrate a genuine interest in Human Resources and are eager to gain real-world experience across different HR disciplines.

You should:

  • Be enrolled on a sandwich degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Social Sciences or Organisational Psychology, with a  graduation date in 2028

  • Have a strong academic performer, with an excellent record at A-Level or BTEC

  • Have excellent organisation and time management skills coupled with a proactive and collaborative approach to work

What will you do?

Depending on your assigned area or rotation, you will work on a wide range of activities.

Examples include:

People Operations

  • Supporting core HR processes across the employee lifecycle

  • Being a point of contact for HR and benefits queries

  • Managing internal HR documentation and support payroll coordination

  • Owning and delivering defined HR projects

  • Liaising with third-party providers to ensure seamless benefit delivery

Talent Acquisition – Campus

  • Sourcing technical talent using a variety of recruitment tools

  • Helping to coordinate university partnerships and careers events

  • Contributing to the end-to-end intern and placement hiring process

  • Championing candidate experience and brand engagement

Reward

  • Assisting with compensation benchmarking, data collection and salary reviews

  • Helping to coordinate benefit renewals and wellness initiatives

  • Supporting internal communications around pay and benefits

  • Maintaining accurate records and liaising with external providers

Organisational Development

  • Supporting learning and development programmes and the early careers pipeline

  • Coordinating internal training delivery and managing the team inbox and calendar

  • Organising coaching and development interventions

  • Working with business partners to roll out strategic organisational development initiatives

Marketing and Communications

  • Assisting in creating and curating internal and external content

  • Supporting on social media, blogs and website updates

  • Coordinating marketing materials and branded merchandise

  • Helping to run internal and external events, including supporting with on-the-day logistics

 HR Placement Year (Sandwich Degree) interview process

  • Candidates selected after CV review will be invited to submit a short cover letter indicating their preferred role(s)
  • Interviews will begin in October and November 2025
  • Please note: we can only consider applicants enrolled on a sandwich degree programme with an expected graduation in 2028
