This is an on-site role, based in our new Soho Place office – opened in 2023 - in the heart of Central London and home to our Research Lab.

The role

Research Operations is the enabler behind our core value streams. Our work spans a wide range of responsibilities, from managing monthly reporting and coordinating graduate hiring programmes to driving operational efficiency and delivering insightful analytics to enable organisational change. In short, our goal is to enable our quant researchers and engineers to focus on what matters most: research and deployment.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering monthly operational reporting to senior management, ensuring data quality standards are upheld
  • Leading programmes to provide insights into productivity, including question design, data collection, data analysis and communicating results
  • Supporting senior management with ad hoc analysis projects, providing data and insights to inform decision-making
  • Leading capacity and workplace planning, with the communications and consensus building that is required
  • Running onboarding for new joiners, including coordination of workstation setup and testing, buddy assignment and the delivery of introductory sessions
  • Facilitating the operational delivery of internal reorganisations
  • Maintaining a high-level understanding of the department’s structure, goals, and current priorities to aid knowledge sharing and support decision-making
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across teams, listening to concerns and identifying what’s working and where improvements are needed
  • Running our graduate hiring programme in collaboration with the G-Research Talent Acquisition team

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail and delivering high-quality outputs
  • Agile, with the ability to switch contexts effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the judgment to involve the right people to resolve issues effectively
  • Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to drive outcomes independently
  • Proficient in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint
  • Data analysis skills, proficiency in Tableau and SQL are a plus
