We’re seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Platform Automation team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the core systems and services that power infrastructure automation, enhance developer productivity and streamline operational workflows.

This role will focus on expanding our internal automation platform through system integrations, improved self-service capabilities and greater operational efficiency across both infrastructure and engineering environments.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Participating in on-call rotations and helping to maintain system health through proactive monitoring, alerting and incident response

  • Continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins-based workflows, and contributing to evolving platform automation practices

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A strong track record of building high-quality software using object-oriented or functional programming languages such as Go or Python

  • Confidence writing scripts in Bash and using automation tools like Ansible to streamline workflows
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and automation frameworks, with a strong alignment to DevOps principles
  • Comfortable working in agile, self-organising teams, taking initiative to solve technical problems and navigate ambiguity
  • A commitment to code quality, reliability, and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative development practices

Desirable Skills and knowledge:

  • Experience with Java or other statically typed languages beyond those already listed

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and scalable service design

  • Familiarity with event streaming or messaging systems, such as Kafka

  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform

  • Knowledge of observability platforms such as Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana or the ELK stack
