The Low Latency Engineering Group at G-Research is responsible for providing and evolving a low-latency platform.
Primary responsibilities:
- Hands on rolling out of a major new WAN network (various transports, including MPLS):
- Building
- Implementing new routing domains
- Comprehensive testing
- Onboarding (using automation)
- Managed handover
- Support assistance
- Working with service providers (T1+)
- Migration of networks
- Perimeter network deployments
- Working as part of a strong networking team: managing and supporting trading related networks
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- CCNP minimum qualified network engineer
- Network design (CCDP) or above a bonus
- Engineer-level operation and building of enterprise level networks
- History working with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NXOS, Arista EOS routers and switches (one or more of these)
- Experience building and operating WAN networks: L1 and above, WAN circuit ordering, survey, implementation, migration, testing and handover
- Using automation for Day-1 deployment and Day-2 network management using Ansible and Python preferred
- Service provider experience a bonus
- Work on trading related networks
- Work on low-latency networks a bonus
