Matteo, Quantitative Research Intern

Hear from Matteo, Quantitative Research Intern, on his experience applying cutting-edge technologies to real-world challenges.

Fact file

Position: Summer Research Programme Intern (10-weeks)

Team: Quantitative Research

Before G-Research: I’m nearing the end of my PhD at EPFL, Switzerland, where my research focuses on the boundary between statistical physics and computer science

“What excites me most about my internship at G-Research is the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world challenges. Coming from a theoretical background, I’ve learned a great deal about translating complex methods into practical applications – and having access to world-class technology makes that process incredibly rewarding.

“One of the things that has truly stood out to me is the collaborative and welcoming culture. I hadn’t expected such a supportive environment but it’s been one of the main reasons I’ve enjoyed working here from day one.

“I’ve had the chance to work with brilliant colleagues from diverse backgrounds who are always open to discussion. This creates a dynamic exchange of ideas and a healthy sense of challenge as we work toward shared goals. Everyone is genuinely invested in each other’s success, which is both motivating and inspiring – and pushes you to keep growing.”
