We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.

From our London HQ, we unite world-class researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution - because the best ideas take time to evolve.  Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.

As part of our engineering team, you’ll shape the platforms and tools that drive high-impact research - designing systems that scale, accelerate discovery and support innovation across the firm.

The role

Security is at the heart of everything we do at G-Research and we believe every engineer should be empowered with the tools to make smart security decisions throughout the entire development lifecycle—from writing code, during compilation to deployment.

Ensuring productivity for our delivery teams is equally critical and we integrate security seamlessly into existing workflows wherever possible.

As part of our DevSecOps team, you will play a key role in supporting our engineers and securing our applications, infrastructure and services. Your responsibility will be to ensure our engineers have everything they need to make security a priority, without compromising on efficiency.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing, implementing and operating security services including PKI, secret management and secure software development lifecycle tools
  • Designing, deploying and maintaining secure, scalable and resilient software platforms to meet the security needs of our engineering teams
  • Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and customers
  • Proactively identifying and suggesting improvements to our infrastructure, security practices and operational processes

You’ll be joining an exciting, fast-paced environment where you’ll be working with some of the best engineers in the industry.

We invest heavily in technology, training, career development and cross-team growth opportunities, including conference attendance and professional development resources.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proficiency in programming with a strong command of at least one language, with Python and C# preferred

  • Interest in solving security problems with experience in one or more of these security areas a plus:
