The role
As a Strategy Lead in our Strategic Planning Office (SPO), you will help shape the short- and long-term priorities of the business, driving effective delivery and supporting strategic alignment across a leading quantitative research and technology firm.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Analysing external trends to determine their impact on the business and provide recommendations as part of long-range planning
Facilitating senior stakeholders to co-create a three-year vision for both business unit and functional plans
Working through unstructured and ambiguous problems, adapting industry frameworks to fit G-Research use cases, and developing and delivering concrete actions to drive progress
Acting as an advisor and coach to senior stakeholders
Working closely with business and programme managers to define short term goals
Designing - and continuously improving - governance forums to ensure they are fit for purpose to deliver long- and short-term plans
Managing and leading challenging change management programmes, effectively navigating stakeholder dynamics and business problems
Learning and iterating quickly, grasping complex concepts and supporting teams in navigating planning, delivery, and change management
Co-ordinating the design and delivery of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrable experience in a strategy consulting setting, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Financial services background with a solid understanding financial markets
Strong execution skills
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with C-Suite stakeholders
Ability to distil ambiguous problems into simple approaches and actions
A creative and curious mind-set with a desire to continuously improve every aspect of how we work and think outside of the box
Strong academic credentials, including a minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent
