NeurIPS 2026 Travel Grant
Apply for fully funded attendance in Sydney

NeurIPS, one of the world’s leading ML and AI conferences, provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore the very latest developments in the field. We make it a priority to get there every year, and if you’d like to join us for the 2026 edition in Sydney, this is your chance.
We’re offering a limited number of fully-funded grants covering conference passes, flights, accommodation and daily expenses.

- A daily allowance to cover expenses
To be considered for a grant, simply:
- Submit a copy of your CV
- Share details of any NeurIPS 2026 paper submissions
Applications are open to Master’s and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral researchers, working in a STEM discipline.

Applicants notified by: Friday 13th November
- Your application must be true and accurate.
- You may submit no more than one application per month and, in aggregate, no more than two applications in any calendar year.
- The prize is open only to individuals who are aged 18 or over at the date of application.
- Successful award of the prize does not grant the applicant the right to use G-Research’s name or logo without permission, other than to acknowledge G-Research’s support or list possible conflicts of interest.
- The prize is a fully-funded trip to attend a conference in Sydney, Australia, comprising a conference ticket, return economy-class flights from the major international airport closest to the winner’s place of residence (or another departure point agreed in writing with G-Research), standard accommodation for 7 nights and a daily expenses allowance of up to £60 GBP per day. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable.
- Anything not expressly listed above is your responsibility, including any visa or travel authorisation, travel insurance, incidental and personal expenses, excess baggage charges, local transport and any meals or costs beyond the daily expenses allowance.
- You are responsible for holding a valid passport and for obtaining, at your own cost, any Australian visa, electronic travel authority (ETA) or other travel authorisation required for the trip, and for arranging your own travel insurance and being fit to travel.
- The travel dates are fixed around the conference and cannot be changed. If you are unable to travel on those dates, are refused a visa or travel authorisation, or do not hold travel documents in order, the prize is forfeited and no alternative or compensation will be provided.
- The prize is not available to the friends and family of the representatives of G-Research and its group, and representatives of G-Research and its group may not write letters of reference in support of applications.
- Applications are assessed on their merits by a panel appointed by G-Research applying the published criteria, and the exercise of skill and judgement in that assessment is a genuine and integral part of the competition.
- Applicants have no right to expect the award of a prize. The decision of G-Research in all respects is final.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes G-Research’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, G-Research accepts no liability for any loss or consequence, whether direct or indirect, arising from the competition or the prize, including travel disruption, cancellations, delays, loss of or damage to baggage, the acts or omissions of third-party providers (including airlines, hotels and the conference organiser) and any event outside G-Research’s reasonable control.
- If you violate any of these terms and conditions, act dishonestly, provide information which is misleading (whether deliberately or accidentally) or act in a way which may damage our brand, reputation or goodwill, G-Research may withdraw the prize and require you to reimburse its value or the costs incurred by G-Research in providing it.
- G-Research may amend these terms, or suspend or cancel the competition, at any time where it is reasonable to do so, including where there are insufficient applications or for reasons outside its reasonable control.
- G-Research will process the personal data you provide in order to administer the competition, assess applications and award the prize. Further information is set out in its privacy notice at https://www.gresearch.com/privacy-policy/.
- These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
