I've lived in Dallas for the past two years. Um, absolutely love it here. G Research hosts a ton of social events and you're always bound to see a familiar face there. On the more informal side, we have a Dallas Book club, uh, which is fun to be a part of, as well as a, uh, fantasy football league that I'm currently part of, and that's American football. But there's also a UK Foot Fantasy Football League as well. I know that the new office is in Dallas, uptown Dallas, right across the street from the American Airline Center where the, uh, Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars play. So that sounds like it'll be really fun to hopefully catch game after work sometime. We were assigned buddies and mentors, so my buddy helped me get acquainted with the Dallas office, as well as just be there for quick questions. Um, my mentor really helped me focus and establish some of my goals for my career at here at G Research. So my team and I, we interact with a lot of the other teams under the infrastructure as a service function. People from those teams are split across both the US and the UK as well. What we do is really make use of the, uh, workday overlap that we do have. So that usually means my mornings are, um, pretty packed with closely collaborating with my team or other, uh, members of different teams and saving more of my individual tasks for the afternoon. The people here are incredibly smart and more focused on, uh, reaching a goal as a team rather than competing towards a goal. If someone is considering a role at G Research, I would obviously try to encourage them to take the role. Um, the reason for that is the opportunity for learning and growth here at G Research. Uh, not only are you going to be surrounded by incredibly smart people every day, you're going to have access to so many learning resources, get to work on very challenging, interesting problems, um, as well as as an ad bonus. The work culture is great. We have a lot of fun people here at G Research.
